August parkrun – Pontefract
August and it was round 5 of 11 in the HPH parkrun championship and it was Pontefract this month.
25 ladies and 17 men made the trip to run around the race course, and 10 came away with PB’s. They were Emma Brown, Naomi Kellett, Alison Pullan, Jane-Marie Bracchi, Clare Maxwell, Alys Griffiths, Lorna Midwood, Robert Howard, Chris Bracchi and Paul Farmery.
3 Harriers claimed 1st finishers and they were Robert Howard and Anna Stocks in week 1 and Amy Young in week 4.
The mens battle saw 4 getting age grading over 70%. Chris Jones took top points followed by Scott Watson and Robert Howard. All scored in week one, while Steve Rhodes claimed 4th with a week 4 time.
In the ladies Amy Young got top score with 75.7%. This is her 4th top points score of the year. Anna Stocks was 2nd with a 71% score.
Championship wise Scott still leads, now by 2 points from Chris Jones with Steve Rhodes in 3rd. In the ladies Alison Pullan still has a good lead from Emma Brown and Jane-Marie Bracchi. Due to missing 1 month Amy is in 11th. Check out the HPH website for all the points from club championships.
