HPH parkrun Championships parkrunday 16

There were at least 43 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning around the parkrun world this week across 15 different venues. These included Liz and Chris Jones who were the first Hyde Park Harriers to parkrun in France – at La Ramée in Toulouse. There were also Hyde Park Harrier parkrun firsts by Lucy Rider at Rosliston Forestry Centre, south of Burton upon Trent and Tom Pollard at Haigh Woodland, Wigan. Many congratulations to Hyde Park Harriers Rachel Bourne and Tom Eales who tied the knot in Penarth at the weekend. No parkruns for them, but a contingent of Hyde Park Harriers did pop up nearby at Barry Island parkrun.

There were four PBs this week. These were by Laura Edwards with 28:30 at Bramley; Jack Rose with 21:19 at Colwick; Laura Arendsen with 25:24 at Woodhouse Moor; and Joe Hogg also with 25:24 at York.
