parkrunday 17th February 2018

There were 75 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning around the parkrun world this weekend. Two new parkrun venues were added to the HPH list. These were Knowsley which was completed by Robert Howard and Matilda Rhodes and Parke – on the National Trust Parke Estate near Newton Abbot by Honor Baldry.

There were three first finishers this week. These were Gary Grant who also grabbed a PB of 19:51  at Buncrana in Ireland.  Robert Howard at Knowsley in a time of 19:02 and Hannah Marshall in a time of 25:52 at Rothwell. There were nine other PBs. These were by Jack Rose with 18:29, Amy Young with 20:27 and Paul Farmery with 27:31 at Woodhouse Moor; Liam Brown with 21:38 at Southampton; Cara Sass with 23:39 and Alys Griffiths with 24:27 at Brighouse; Tobias Adkins with 19:06 and Naomi Farrar with 25:17 at Cross Flatts; and Emma Amor with 23:23 at Penrith.

Michael Bowen joined the parkrun 50 club with his run at Cross Flatts and Fred Cown did his first ever parkrun with his run  at Woodhouse Moor.

Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 72.37% by Amy Young at Woodhouse Moor and for the men was 76.20% by Steve Rhodes also at Woodhouse Moor.
