parkrunday 6th May 2017

There were 69 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning at 16 different venues this week. These included Claire and James Booth who popped over to San Francisco to parkrun at Crissy Field next to the spectacular Golden Gate Bridge. There were equally spectacular performances from both as James was first male finisher in a time of 19:47 and Claire celebrated joining the parkrun 100 club as first female finisher in a time of 21:58. There was another HPH double top closer to home. As the HPH parkrun Championships switched to Cross Flatts for May, Michael Vargas was first finisher in a new PB time of 17:19 and Amy Young was first female finisher in a new PB time of 20:55.

There were nine other PBs this week. These were by Laura Edwards with 26:27 & Catherine Howard with 29:39 at Bramley; Dan Waas with 21:57 & John Blatherwick with 22:18 at Cross Flatts; Lisa Prudhoe with 34:37 at Pontefract; Robert Howard with 19:25 at Sheffield Hallam; and Tom Thomas with 17:47, Steve Brown with 27:39 & Claire Hougham with 28:05 at Woodhouse Moor.

Hannah Roberts was the first Hyde Park Harrier to parkrun at Tooting Common in London.

Maika Ohno joined the parkrun 50 club with her run at Woodhouse Moor.

Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 70.76% by Amy Young at Cross Flatts and for the men was by Chris Jones with 78.40%, also at Cross Flatts.
