HPH parkrun Championships parkrunday 20

Just 42 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning this parkrunday across 15 different venues. I guess a few are away on their summer holidays, a few were doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on Saturday and a few more were saving themselves for the West Yorkshire Five Mile Road Race in the club championships on Sunday.

There were five Hyde Park Harriers making the first appearance by a Hyde Park Harrier at a parkrun venue. These were Anthony Aimon at Bevendean Down near Brighton where he was first finisher; Emma Amor at Hazlehead, Aberdeen; Claudia Bauer at Tonbridge; Clare Evans at Southport; and honorary lifetime member Vikki Hawkins at Rondebosch Common, Cape Town, South Africa.

There were a whopping nine PBs. These were by John Hayes with 24:06 at Cross Flatts; Jimmy Sheldon with 19:24, Hannah Marshall with 23:50 & Jo Rhodes with 29:00 at Roundhay; Jonny Mason with 21:58 at Sheffield Hallam; Helen Williams with 23:23 at South Shields; Chris Jones with 21:11 & Hannah Roberts with 30:15 at Temple Newsam; and Joe Hogg with 24:45 at Wetherby.
