Swimming – more details
We aim to provide a variety of fun training sessions focusing on technique, endurance and speed.
Our training is periodised into 4 blocks with a different focus depending on where we are in the season. All swim sessions are led by a qualified British Triathlon Coach.
We have exclusive use of the pool (4 lanes) allowing us to cater for a range of abilities. All participants must be able to swim a minimum of 200m
Cost per session:
- £5 for members
- £7 for non-members
to be paid to the session lead.

Cycling – more details
The aim of our bike sessions is to improve confidence, skills and fitness. We aim to provide a variety of inclusive sessions aimed at a range of abilities and level of confidence.
Please note all of our rides are social rides and NOT a coached session, and you are entirely responsible for your own safety. You must have a safe bike in good working order and you must wear a helmet. It’s your responsibility to follow the rules of the road and familiarise yourself we the route beforehand.
Winter Indoor rides
Through Nov – Mar we run a Virtual Race Series via Zwift each Monday at 7pm.
We have a mix of draft legal, crit race and time trial races.
Races range from 20 – 60 minutes depending on the course.
Whilst it is competitive for the overall Championship win, the races are a fun and inclusive environment with multiple leagues and jerseys to compete for, plus a great way to keep race sharp over the winter.

Summer Outdoor Rides
Through Apr– Sept we meet at St Chad’s car park each Monday at 6pm. Rides cover 25-40 km / 15-25 miles, and aim to be back at 8pm.
Where possible groups are split to accommodate different riding speeds. We operate a “no-drop” rule on all our rides, where no rider is left behind. We ask that you are considerate when choosing which group to ride with. Riders are expected to regroup at the top of a climb and if someone does drop off the pace, regroup where safe.

Other Rides
- Social rides are organised on our Facebook group where members often arrange impromptu rides.
- Bank Holiday rides – we try to arrange a longer social ride on a bank holiday 60+ kms/ 45+ miles with a café stop.
- Coached sessions – we offer a range of coached sessions at Brownlee Centre track throughout the year. The track offers a great opportunity to practice bike skills, transitions and build confidence in a safe traffic free environment. The sessions are advertised via our Facebook group and Spond.
