parkrunday 17th June 2017 – Hyde Park Harriers

On one of the hottest days of the year in the UK there were 62 Hyde Park Harriers out braving the heat at 17 different venues around the parkrun world. These included Michael Taylor who was the first Hyde Park Harrier to parkrun at Elgin in Scotland and Jaz Bangerh, Tom Williams and Chris Jones who were the first Hyde Park Harriers to parkrun at Tring Park in Hertfordshire.

The hot weather wasn’t conducive for PBs but three were achieved. These were by Alys Griffiths with 27:13 at Erddig in North Wales; Clare Evans with 23:18 at Roundhay; and Lizzie Coombes with 27:42 at Woodhouse Moor. Angus Milne was first finisher at Roundhay in 17:59.

Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 64.35% by Maika Ohno at Woodhouse Moor and for the men was 73.96% by Gordon Crawford also at Woodhouse Moor.
