parkrunday 18th March 2017

There were 49 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning across 16 different parkrun venues this weekend. These included Tom Pollard continuing his tour of New Zealand with a parkrun at Hagley in Christchurch – the first Hyde Park Harrier to parkrun there.

The club had two first finishers this week. At Wetherby Hannah Marshall was first lady with her time of 24:01 and at Woodhouse Moor Phil Goose was first man home with his time of 17:31.

There were 8 PBs. These were by John Hayes with 24:17 & Laura Edwards with 27:48 at Bramley; Chris Bracchi with 30:05 and Jane-Marie Bracchi with 30:04 at Wakefield Thornes; Simon Rogers with 21:12 at Heaton; Robert Howard with 20:04 at Widnes; Michael Vargas with 17:45 at Harrogate; and Debbie Brown with 27:59 at Woodhouse Moor – knocking 43 seconds off her previous best that was achieved at her second parkrun at Woodhouse Moor almost four years ago.

Simon McGrath joined the parkrun 100 club and Ciara Crossan joined the parkrun 50 club with their runs at Woodhouse Moor.

Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 68.54% by Claire Booth at Woodhouse Moor – parkrunning using her married name for the first time which is much appreciated by the HPH parkrun Python which is easily confused – and by the men was 74.86% by Chris Jones at Penrith.
