The unusually good Easter Bank Holiday weekend weather brought out a bumper 113 Hyde Park Harriers spread across 40 different venues. These included Chris Lodge at Krakow in Poland and Alys Griffiths revisiting the Kompleks Futsal Presint 18 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Three new venues were added to the Hyde Park Harriers’ list. These were Haldon Forest which is south of Exeter by Kate Solomon; Hay Lodge which is in the Scottish borders near Peebles by Jamie Dobson; and Great Notley Country Park near Braintree in Essex by Amy Young who was first female finisher in a time of 19:47.
There were three other first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Michael Vargas who notched up his 10th first finish at Woodhouse Moor in a time of 17:02; and first timers Phil Goose at Upton Court in 17:34 and Rupert Jordan in 17:17 at Melton Mowbray. There were 18 PBs. These were by Andrew Carrier with 17:44 and John Pratt with 19:16 at Woodhouse Moor; Robyn Johnson with 29:42 at Albert; Jo Rhodes with 24:14 at Newcastle; Adam Jowett with 22:57 at Harrogate; Emma Amor with 23:26 at Hazlehead; Paul Farmery with 29:33 at Middleton Woods; Laura Hastings with 23:58; Delyse Forber with 36:01 and Diane Aykroyd with 39:08 at Armley; Vicky Houghton with 27:43 at Myrtle; Mohammed Aslam with 26:37; Caroline Sanders with 28:15; Clare Maxwell with 28:20; Judith Meadows with 33:12; Julie Robson 35:26 and Claire Hougham with 36:27 at Potternewton; and Andrew Nicholls with 24:35 at Storthes Hall.
Sam Dooley had a 1:02:11 PHART at Bradford’s 9th Birthday party parkrun.
Heather Fulton joined the parkrun 100 club with her run at Woodhouse Moor.
Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 74.81% by Amy Young at Great Notley and for the men was 77.01% by Michael Vargas at Woodhouse Moor.
