There were 105 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning across 30 different venues this week. These included Jack Rose who joined the parkrun 100 club with his run at Tøyen, Oslo, Norway; and two international parkruns added to the Hyde Park Harriers venue list – Pole Mokotowskie parkrun in Warsaw, Poland by Chris Carrick and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Parc du Château de Fontainebleau south of Paris, France by Claire and James Booth. Two UK venues were also added to the Hyde Park Harriers list. These were Blyth Links by Joanne Lundgren and the latest Yorkshire venue – Penistone – by Rick Pullan & Liz and Chris Jones.
There were four first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Amy Young in 19:28 at Fountains Abbey; Emma Amor in 23:49 at Lochore Meadows; and Anna Stocks in a PB time of 20:53 and Michael Vargas in a PB time of 17:07 at this month’s HPH parkrun Championships venue of Armley.
The force was with Hyde Park Harriers as there were 20 other PBs recorded on the day. These were by Jonathan Spain with 19:17; Curtis Broadhead with 19:20; Honor Baldry with 21:33; Leigh Schelvis with 23:54; Chloe Brooks with 24:23 and Emma Colman with 26:38 at Woodhouse Moor; Hilary Lund with 30:09; Michael Mason with 31:45 and Michelle Hancocks with 31:52 at Rothwell; Emma Brown with 23:46 and Matilda Rhodes with 24:53 at Fountains Abbey; Laura Hastings with 23:52 at Bramley; Vicky Houghton with 23:54 at Heslington; Caroline Sanders with 27:37 at Middleton Woods; Steve Rhodes with 19:42; Paul Sawyer with 20:01; Jo Rhodes with 23:31; Mohammed Aslam with 25:15; Claire Mason with 35:08 and Diane Aykroyd with 38:45 at Armley.
Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 76.03% by Amy Young at Fountains Abbey and for the men was 78.68% by Steve Rhodes at Armley.
