There were 64 HPH Women, 56 HPH Men and one undeclared HPH out parkrunning across 44 different venues this week. Thirty-one Hyde Park Harriers tried out a new parkrun course and amongst these two new courses were added to the HPH list. These were Ambleside by Daniel Roberts and Chippenham Playing Fields by Claire Hougham. Neither of these venues is where you might expect from their name. Ambleside parkrun isn’t in the small town in the Lake District of the same name, it’s in Ambleside Park in West Vancouver, Canada. Chippenham Playing Fields parkrun is in the town of Monmouth in Wales, about sixty miles away from the more familiar town of Chippenham in Wiltshire.
There was just one first finishing Hyde Park Harrier – Rupert Jordan in 16:37 at Armley. There were nine PBs. These were by Alison Hargreaves with 25:04 at Woodhouse Moor; Clare Evans with 24:12 at Wakefield Thornes; Hilary Lund with 28:15 at Pontefract; Simon McGrath with 20:33 at Warrington; Michelle Dickson with 28:01 at Whitstable; Charlie Jackett with 22:03 at Rothwell; Romina Masood with 28:46 at Victoria; Greg Judges with 18:27 at Armley; and Michael Vargas with 18:08 at Bowling Park.
Top female Age Grade% was 72.86% by Hilary Lund at Pontefract and top male Age Grade% was 80.94% by Rupert Jordan at Woodhouse Armley.
