There were 52 HPH women and 57 HPH men out parkrunning across 40 venues worldwide this week.

Forty Hyde Park Harriers travelled to try out a new course. One of these courses was new to the HPH list. This was Woodlands Historic Park in Australia (not to be confused with Woodlands parkrun in Scarborough) by Louise Gardham.

Woodlands Historic Park is a hidden treasure in Melbourne’s north. The park is adjacent to Melbourne Airport and is managed by Parks Victoria. The park is a fascinating relic of the landscape that European settlers saw in the 1840s. It has a 150‐year old homestead complete with paddocks that are home to some of Australia’s finest retired racehorses. It also has indigenous canoe trees, native woodland and grassland and plenty of kangaroo spotting opportunities. The parkrun course consists of a single loop entirely on closed gravel trails with a short grassed incline leading towards the finish.

There were two first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Thomas Moulding in a PB time of 16:43 at Armley and Clare Slorach at Potternewton.

There were eight other PBs. These were by Caroline Young with 28:33 at Rothwell; Eleanor Williams with 28:58 and Abi Thornley with 32:24 at Roundhay; Daniel Clayton with 20:24 at Southwark; Reuben Keating with 17:21 at Bramley; Jonathan Spain with 18:56 at Armley; Becky Webb with 28:19 at Roberts Park; and Joe Lawley with 22:07 at Cockermouth Greenway.

Karly Stringer joined the parkrun 250 club with her run at Armley.

Top female Age Grade% was 73.76% by Jane Prust at Cuningar Loop and top male Age Grade% was 77.57% by Thomas Moulding at Armley.
