There were 67 HPH women and 66 HPH men out parkrunning across 58 venues worldwide this week.
Thirty-six Hyde Park Harriers travelled to try out a new course. One of these courses was new to the HPH list. This was Meon Valley Trail in Hampshire by Andy Judd and Julie Robson. The Meon Valley Trail is an express cycleway and bridleway between Wickham and West Meon along a 10 mile southern section of the disused Meon Valley Railway. The railway closed in 1955 but in 2014 the track bed was cleared of all trees and shrubs to allow the cycleway to be developed. The parkrun course is a flat out-and-back that heads northeast for 2.5 km from near the old Wickham Station.
There were no first finishing Hyde Park Harriers.
There were eleven PBs. These were by Harrison Grange with 26:55 and Sohebuzzaman Khan with 27:04 at Woodhouse Moor; Lucy McKerrell with 19:36 at Bromley; Ciara Crossan with 25:09 at Pontefract; Heather Goodacre with 24:55 at Brueton; Simon McGrath with 19:18 at Warrington; Rob MacDowall with 17:52 at Rothwell; Nick Shakhelevich with 17:47 at Selby; Ed Shakespeare with 31:56 at Newborough Forest; Vicky Houghton with 24:47 at Myrtle; and William Dow with 22:35 at Conyngham Hall.
Harrison Grange joined the parkrun 25 club with his run at Woodhouse Moor.
Top female Age Grade% was 75.51% by Lucy McKerrell at Bromley and top male Age Grade% was 75.63% by Nick Shakhelevich at Selby.
