This week there were 55 HPH women and 70 HPH men out parkrunning across 49 venues worldwide.
Twenty-seven Hyde Park Harriers travelled to try out a new course. Two of these courses were new to the HPH list. These were Holme Pierrepont by George Sullivan and Redmond Central Connector Trail in the US by Tami Bond.
Set in 270 acres of parkland, Holme Pierrepont Country Park is home of the National Water Sports Centre. In the Outdoor Aventure Zone you can do Sky Trail; Sky Tykes; Mini Golf; Archery Combat; Canoeing; Kayaking; Stand Up Paddleboarding; White water rafting and White water tubing. The parkrun course is a single, clockwise, complete lap of the Regatta Lake. It is flat, fast, and all run on the wide, lake perimeter road.
The Redmond Central Connector is a 6.3 km paved rail trail and linear park in Redmond, Washington. It is a spur of the Eastside Rail Corridor, connecting the main Eastrail to downtown Redmond. The trail features art made from railroad tracks and signals. The parkrun course is two out and backs along the Redmond Central Connector Trail.
There were two first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Thomas Moulding in 18:33 at Potternewton and George Anderson in a PB time of 17:38 at Kirkharle Courtyard. There were fourteen other PBs. These were by Lucas Johnstone with 17:27 at Woodhouse Moor; Joe Lawley with 21:41 at Edinburgh; Gordon Crawford with 23:42 at Wakefield Thornes; Aisling Davis with 22:08 at Highbury Fields; Louise Gardham with 33:02 and Claire Hougham with 33:42 at Barnsley; Tobias Adkins with 19:18, Cara Gates with 23:56 and Naomi Adkins with 25:47 at Roundhay; Paul Ramsden with 24:51 at Hillsborough; Helen Noyes with 35:35 at Whinlatter Forest; Oliver Pryse with 23:07 at Walmer and Deal Seafront; Jaime Tasker with 21:23 at Potternewton and Meg Coleman with 29:52 at Millhouses.
There were non new members of the parkrun clubs.
Top female Age Grade% was 71.78% by Clare Slorach at Norwich and top male Age Grade% was 77.43% by Gordon Crawford at Wakefield Thornes.
