Club Road Championship update

The Abbey Dash was round 9 of 10 for this years Road Championship.  The final round is the Dewsbury 10k in February but some of the divisions have already been won.

Ladies Premier – 2 best friends will go to the final round in with a chance of winning the division.  Sarah Farnell has a 4 point lead of Clare Maxwell going into the final round.  13 out of 20 ladies have scored points.

Ladies 1st Division – Delighted to announce that Lucy Rider is the champion for the 2016/17 season with 119 points.  The battle for runners up is still on going with Emma Amor on 86, Joan Kavanagh on 71 and Michelle Hancocks on 69 points.  13 out of 20 ladies have scored points.

Ladies 2nd division – With one round to go Lois Gardner can not be beaten and is this years champion on 98 points.  Sara Scholes is 2nd at the moment on 75 points with Heather Fulton 3rd on 68 points and either is in with a chance of the runner up spot.  27 ladies have scored points.

Mens Premier division – The battle for the top spot will go to the final round.  Chris Smith leads going into the final round with 134 points but he has already got 7 scores on the board with his worst being a second place.  Philip Goose is 2nd on 120 points with 6 maximum scores so is in the strongest position going into the last round.  14 out of 20 men have scored points.

Mens 1st division – Scott Watson is the 1st division champion after an excellent year.  He has 137 points.  There is still a battle for 2nd place with John Blatherwick on 98 points and Dan Donnelly on 88 points.  15 out of 20 men have scored points.

Mens 2nd division – Jimmy Sheldon takes the honours in the 2nd division with a 133 points.  Still plenty to play for at the final event for the runners up spot with John Hayes on 115 points but has already got 7 scores on the board and Aron Hinds on 110 points.  22 men have scored.
