HPH parkrun Championships 2016/17

My parkrun Python has been having a short break waiting for the Hyde Park Harrier membership renewals for the new season to come in. The current membership list has just arrived so it has been busy trawling the parkrun world for Hyde Park Harriers parkrunning in the first two parkrundays of the season.

At this stage of the season all the results are provisional while the membership details sort themselves out. So there may be a few minor changes over the next few weeks. If you are a new member please make sure you’ve registered your club as being Hyde Park Harriers on your parkrun profile. And equally if you’ve left the club then it would be appreciated if you would remove your affiliation with Hyde Park Harriers from your parkrun profile – it just makes my Python dizzy and you wouldn’t like a dizzy Python roaming around the web.

On parkrunday 1 there were 47 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning at 12 different venues – all in the UK. These included Liz and Chris Jones who were the first Hyde Park Harriers to run at the new Dalby Forest parkrun up near Pickering in North Yorkshire.

Eight PBs were attained. These were by Lucy Rider with 22:58, Hannah Marshall with 23:11 and Richard Edwards with 25:41 at Cross Flatts; Jimmy Sheldon with 18:59 at Ecos; Jamie Dobson with 24:04 at Roundhay; Nicola |Shenton with 26:06 at Stamford Park; and Maika Ohno with 23:46 and Lois Gardner with 24:16 at Woodhouse Moor.

Four PBs were attained. These were by Rebecca Rogers with 22:25 and Matthew Gray with 27:06 at Oldham; Ben Hartley with 18:12 and Laura Arendsen with 26:11 at Woodhouse Moor.

Hannah Roberts joined the parkrun 50 club and Jane Mansfield joined the parkrun 100 club – both running at Woodhouse Moor.
