HPH parkrun Championships parkrunday 19

There were 51 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning at 14 different venues this week. These included Anthony Aimon who was the first Hyde Park Harrier to parkrun at Harcourt Hill, Oxford.

There were seven PBs this week. These were by Tom Eales with 21:30 and Rachel Eales with 21:31 at Conkers; John Hayes with 25:35 at Pontefract; Tom Williams with 33:01 at Skipton; Michael Vargas with 17:48 at Temple Newsam; and Dote Stone with 26:27 and Jo Rhodes with 27:16 at Woodhouse Moor.

Chris Jones recorded yet another 80%+ Age Grade% at Woodhouse Moor with 19:56 which gave him an Age Grade% of 80.43%.

Diane Aykroyd recorded her 300th parkrun when she turned out at Horton Park, Bradford. Ben Hartley recorded his 150th parkrun with his run at Woodhouse Moor.

Honorary lifetime Hyde Park Harrier Vikki Hawkins popped up at Hobie Beach, Port Elizabeth in South Africa.

A couple of new countries will be joining the parkrun world soon. Canada will be hosting parkruns at Truswell Park, Kelowna, British Columbia from 20th August and at Nose Hill Park, Calgary, Alberta from 3rd September.  Sweden will be holding parkruns at Haga from 27th August.
