HPH parkrun Championships parkrunday 24

There were 45 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning at a total of 16 different venues across the parkrun world this weekend. These included Chris Jones who was the first Hyde Park Harrier to parkrun at River Valley Park in Swords just north of Dublin and he ran fast enough to attain the VM60-64 Age Category Record for the park as well as topping this week’s HPH Men’s Age Grade Table.

There were eight PBs this week. These were by Diane Aykroyd with 39:00 and Clare Mason with 39:03 at Brighouse; Dan Cross with 19:16 at Cannon Hill; Roberta Jordan with 23:51 at Gladstone; Ben Hartley with 22:44 at Newcastle; Bev Miller with 28:48 at Roundhay; Hannah Marshall with 23:04 at Wakefield Thornes; and Scott Watson with 17:51 at Woodhouse Moor.

Rachel Eales joined the parkrun 100 club with her run at Woodhouse Moor where she was first female finisher with her time of 20:01.
