HPH parkrun Championships parkrunday 39

There were 55 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning, spread far and wide around the parkrun world, across 20 different venues on Christmas Eve parkrunday. These included Laura Edwards, Catherine Hayward and Dan Waas who were the first Hyde Park Harriers to turn out at Aylesbury, Reigate Priory and Torrens, Adelaide parkruns respectively. Tom Pollard managed to squeeze in another parkrun at Western Springs in Auckland on his tour of New Zealand and Scott Watson was first finisher with a new PB of 18:25 over at Lee’s Road parkrun in Ennis in Ireland.

Six other PBs were recorded by Hyde Park Harriers. These were by Jack Rose with 20:49 at Colwick; John Blatherwick with 22:02 at Markeaton; Matilda Rhodes with 26:23 at Roundhay; Claudia Bauer with 24:02 at Stewart, Middlesbrough; Angus Milne with 19:04 at Tees Barrage, Stockton on Tees; and Nigel D’Mello with 31:18 at Woodhouse Moor.

Two Park Harriers joined the parkrun 100 club. These were Claire Hougham and Julie Robson who both ran at Woodhouse Moor.
