HPH parkrun Championships parkrunday 43

There were 51 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning across 13 different venues this weekend. These included Dan Waas who was the first Hyde Park Harrier to parkrun at the National Trust’s Belton House near Grantham.

Rachel Eales was the first female finisher down at Barry Island, recording a new PB of 21:11 in the process and highest HPH women’s age grade of the week with 69.87%. It is the third time she has been first female finisher at Barry Island.

Chris Jones produced the top HPH men’s age grade of the week of 72.82% with his run at Haigh Woodland near Wigan.  This made his total points tally now match the year of his birth, while second placed John Hayes is back in 1734 watching Sir Robert Walpole winning his third victory as Prime Minister.

There were three other PBs. These were by Lucy Rider with 26:36 at Pontefract; Louise Hawksworth with 35:26 at Roundhay; and Matilda Rhodes with 25:01 at Woodhouse Moor.
