HPH parkrun Championships parkrunday 53

There were 52 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning at 13 different venues this week. These included Rebecca Rogers and Matt Gray who were the first Hyde Park Harriers to parkrun at Sydney Park in St Peter’s, Sydney, Australia.

There were five PBs recorded. These were by Chris Jones with 21:51 and Richard Edwards with 26:04 at Bramley; Jaz Bangerh with 31:05 at Fountains Abbey; David Womersley with 20:57 at Highbury Fields; and Kathryn Hogg with 33:01 at Temple Newsam.

With just one week now left in this season’s HPH parkrun Championships, the final podium places have almost been determined. In the Women’s Competition the first two places are now certain with Rebecca Rogers as Champion and Hannah Marshall as runner-up. The final place is between Diane Aykroyd and Helen Williams with Diane needing just 15 points from the final parkrun to guarantee third place. In the Men’s Competition David Womersley is Champion and I’m runner up after just managing to fend off a strong late challenge from Chris Jones.
