HPH parkrun Championships Week 14

There were some great performances by Hyde Park Harriers at parkrun this week. We had 48 parkrunners out at 11 different venues around the world. These included Hannah Turner who had ventured over to Denmark to run at Amager Faelled parkrun in Copenhagen. David Driver and Monica Padilla became the first Hyde Park Harriers to run at Grovelands parkrun in Enfield and they took it by storm with David being first male finisher and Monica the first female finisher. Nicola Forwood also headed south to become the first Hyde Park Harrier to run the new parkrun at Brundall on the outskirts of Norwich.

There were five PBs set this week. Russell Webster (22:18) at Cross Flatts; Jonathan Mason (22:23) at Roundhay; Chris Taylor (20:40) & Vicky Taylor (29:48) at Skipton; and Dan Stevenson followed up his amazing run in the Hyde Park Harriers Summer Mile with a new PB of 18:33 at Woodhouse Moor.

We also had three new members of the parkrun clubs – all celebrating at Woodhouse Moor. Trevor Raddings joined the 50 Club and both Diane Aykroyd and Kay Jefferies joined the 250 club.
