HPH parkrun Championships Week 9
Here are the points gained in the 9th week (30th May) of the HPH parkrun Championships 2015/6.
We had an excellent turnout at parkrun with 61 Hyde Park Harriers spread far and wide parkrunning at 11 different venues. These included first appearances for Hyde Park Harriers at the new parkrun in Bradford at Horton Park (Chris Taylor, Kate Pankhurst, Victoria Taylor, Vicky Houghton, Clare Mason & Diane Aykroyd); at Portobello, Edinburgh by a group up for the Edinburgh Marathon Festival (Clare Maxwell, Michelle Hancocks, Sarah Farnell, Beverley Miller, Julie Robson, Kay Jefferies & Karen Willcock); and at Umhlanga parkrun in South Africa for a couple of Hyde Park Harriers over for a little race the following day (Helen & Tom Williams).
The PBs keep coming with nine this week. Ben Hartley 18:45 (Huddersfield); Jimmy Sheldon 21:14 (Roundhay); Chris Jones 21:37 (Wakefield Thornes); Anthony Aimon 17:51, Dan Stevenson 18:37, Tom Eales 19:25, James Booth 19:46, David Womersley 20:28 & Clare Evans 24:07 (Woodhouse Moor).
Many congratulations as well to Liz Jones who joined the parkrun 250 club after completing her first one at Wakefield Thornes. She is the 10th Hyde Park Harrier (either current or former) to achieve this. The others are David Womersley currently on 312, Chris Jones 306, Liz Green 288, Paul Sanderson 285, Jaz Bangerh 269, Nicola Forwood 268, Dave McGuire 263, Janice Marshall 260 and Ken Fox 252.
