July – parkrun championship at Oakwell
The HPH parkrun championship moved onto Oakwell for the 4 weekends of July. 26 ladies and 17 men took on the course which is fairly twisty and a lot of off road. The 3rd week also happened to be there Birthday event so they reversed the course.
1oo points for the best age grading in the ladies championship went yet again to Amy Young thanks to her week 3 PB. This is her 3rd top score out of 4 this year so far but unfortunately she missed a month so has a lot of catching up to do. This leaves Alison Pullan extending her lead in the championship over Emma Brown and Jane-Marie Bracchi.
In the mens Scott Watson went two weeks running and it paid off with a week 4 PB and top age grading to extend his lead in the mens championship with Chris Jones and Steve Rhodes now tied for 2nd.
There was 12 course PB’s and just one 1st finisher in Amy from week 3.
