June – parkrun championship at Rothwell
June and our parkrun championship moved onto Rothwell and there was 5 Saturdays to score points. 29 ladies and 19 men took the chance to score.
Amy Young was top scorer for the ladies with a PB on the first weekend, which gave her an age grading no one else could improve on.
For the men Steve Rhodes scored well on the first week but it wasn’t enough so he went back in week 3 getting a PB and top age grading.
12 ladies and 5 men got new course PB’s.
In week 1 Phil Goose and Amy were 1st finishers, week 3 it was Nichola Moreland and week 5 Anna Stocks.
After 3 months Alison Pullan still leads the ladies championship from Clare Evans and Emma Brown. While in the mens Scott Watson still leads but only has a 1 point lead over Chris Jones who is only 1 point ahead of Steve.
