On the eve of Leeds’ most prestigious road running race there were 89 Hyde Park Harriers parkrunning across 33 different venues. These included Vicky Houghton in Gdansk, Poland and Liz and Chris Jones who were also parkrunning overseas in Jersey. Despite the similar name, Steve Milne’s run at Jersey Farm was 197 miles away from Jersey back on mainland UK just outside St Albans.

Only one first finisher this week – Michael Vargas in a time of 17:34 at Middleton Woods. There were 11 PBs. These were by Rupert Jordan in 16:55; Mike Webb in 21:28; Chloe Brooks in 23:35; and Liam Morris in 30:25 at Woodhouse Moor; Tom Mason in 22:14 and Hilary Lund in 28:59 at Rothwell; Rebecca Gray in 23:07 and Jo Rhodes in 24:35 at Roundhay; Sarah Underwood in 22:22 at Great Denham; Sarah Markless in 25:03 at Middleton Woods and Laura Hastings in 22:58 at Armley.

Joe Byrd joined the parkrun 50 club and Chris Worfolk did his 200th parkrun with their runs at Woodhouse Moor.

Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 72.67% by Anna Stocks at Long Eaton and for the men was 77.93% by Rupert Jordan at Woodhouse Moor.
