With a big weekend of racing in Leeds ahead it wasn’t surprising that the number of Hyde Park Harriers at parkruns this week was down slightly with 63 HPH women and 60 HPH men out parkrunning across 50 venues.
Thirty Hyde Park Harriers travelled to try out a new course, but none of these was new to the HPH list.
There were two first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Amy Ramsden-Young in 20:29 for her 12th first finish at Woodhouse Moor and first since 12/3/2022; and Thomas Moulding in 17:59 at Forest Rec. There were nine PBs. These were by Craig Morland with 20:40 at Woodhouse Moor; Chloe Brooks with 23:19 at York; Chris Harris with 22:34 and Ralph Kidner with 25:24 at Rothwell; Kate Solomon with 28:17 at Fletcher Moss; Derrick Macey with 30:50 at Doddington Hall; Debbie Brown with 33:54 at Chevin Forest; Chloe Wilson with 27:00 at Belvoir Castle; and Matt Kasher with 19:00 at Coombs in Australia.
Fiona Campbell joined the parkrun 25 club with her run at York. Chris Jones became the first current Hyde Park Harrier and the 36th person in the world to reach 700 parkruns with his run at Løvstien in Bergen, Norway.
Top female Age Grade% was 73.86% by Jane Prust at Nansenparken in Norway and top male Age Grade% was 73.95% by Ian Martinson at Penrose.
