There were 55 HPH women and 74 HPH men out parkrunning across 51 venues worldwide this week.

Twenty-five Hyde Park Harriers travelled to try out a new course. Two of these were new to the HPH list. These were Achill Greenway in Ireland by Christopher Kemp and Chloe Wilson and Chain of Lakes in Canada by Jane and Stephen Prust.

Achill Greenway parkrun course is out and back along a section of the Great Western Greenway in Ireland starting at Achill Sound. The Greenway is a cycling and walking facility that follows the line of the Great Western Midlands Railway which closed in 1937. This route offers gentle gradients and some of the most idyllic scenery in the west of Ireland.

The Chain of Lakes Trail is a paved multi-use recreational trail in Halifax, Nova Scotia, that runs from Beechville to Fairview. The trail is named for the Chain Lakes along which the trail runs. The trail is part of the Rum Runners trail system, going from Halifax to Lunenburg. They are part of Nova Scotia’s Blue Route, a planned 3,000 kilometre cycling trail system. The parkrun course is out and back on a fairly flat paved trail alongside lakes and trees. There are some sharp drops next to the path. Post parkrun coffee can be had at the appropriately named 5K Café located about 200m from the start/finish area.

There were no first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. There were however five second finishers. These were Thomas Moulding in 18:03 and Clare Slorach in 21:38 at Potternewton; Vicky Houghton in 25:23 at Waverley Lakes; Caite Burke in 25:59 at Skinadin; and Chloe Wilson in 26:10 at Achill Greenway. There were three PBs. These were by Sylvia McLellan with 31:19 at Armley; Kevin Longmate with 21:23 at Middleton Woods; and Mike Gallagher with 18:39 at York Community Woodland.

Meg Coleman joined the parkrun 50 club with her run at The Cinder Track.

Top female Age Grade% was 71.52% by Jane Prust at Chain of Lakes and top male Age Grade% was 77.88% by Rupert Jordan at Town Moor.
