There were 53 HPH Women and 49 HPH Men out parkrunning across 43 different venues this week. With Woodhouse Moor parkrun being off to give Unity Day free rein of the park 45 Hyde Park Harriers took the opportunity to try out a new course for the first time. One new course was added to the HPH List – Rushmoor in Aldershot by Jack Rose. This is a two lap course around Queen’s Parade and goes past the Army School of Physical Training, the Aldershot Military Stadium and the HQ of the British Army Home Command.
There were four first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Anna Stocks in 20:51 at Darlington South Park; Rebecca Gray in 22:07 at Centre Vale; Amy Young in 21:55 at Bowling Park; and Adam Lomas in 16:27 at Armley, finishing just ahead of Rupert Jordan in 16:33, both being first timers there. There were nine PBs. These were by Alexander Perkin with 22:30 at Roundhay; Alison Hargraves with 26:27 at Burnley; Jane Prust with 28:46 and Stephen Prust with 28:46 at Glossop; Rob Riley with 17:29 and Abdu Ahmed with 18:46 at Armley; Karly Stringer with 28:34 at Potternewton; and Sam Dooley with 23:47 and Vicky Houghton with 24:38 at Bowling Park.
Alexander Perkin joined the parkrun 50 club with his run at Roundhay and Ellie Shipp joined the parkrun 25 club with her run at Armley.
Top female Age Grade% was 70.98% by Anna Stocks at Darlington South Park and top male Age Grade% was 81.27% by Rupert Jordan at Armley.
