There were 64 HPH women and 71 HPH men out parkrunning across 53 venues worldwide this week.
Thirty-four Hyde Park Harriers travelled to try out a new course. One of these courses was new to the HPH list. This was Merrymeeting in Brunswick by Tami Bond – her 22nd parkrun venue in the USA. The Merrymeeting parkrun course is an out-and-back on a bicycle path in Brunswick, Maine alongside the Androscoggin River. It starts and finishes at the Merrymeeting Dog Park – a 1.5 acre facility that provides opportunities for dog owners to allow their dogs off leash for exercise and recreation.
There was no first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. There were eleven PBs. These were Sohebuzzaman Khan with 24:54 at Woodhouse Moor; Grace Roberts with 27:17 at Milton Keynes; Nicola Harold with 35:05 at Durham; Edward Hale with 19:38 at Cross Flatts; Andrew Black with 20:01 at Middleton Woods; Jonathan Pryor with 24:24 at Armley; Abigail Prudhoe with 21:41 at Blyth Links; Clare Evans with 24:39 at Conyngham Hall; Sam Dooley with 26:07 at Thorp Perrow; Sinead O’Hara with 26:04 at Hobsonville Point; and Jessica Wanless with 29:37 at Delftse Hout.
Simon Burton and Coralie Bell joined the parkrun 50 club with their runs at Roundhay and Potternewton respectively. Daniel Fawcett joined the parkrun 100 club with his run at Armley.
Top female Age Grade% was 70.89% by Jane Prust at Coronation Park and top male Age Grade% was 77.59% by Gordon Crawford at Armley.
