There were 93 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning across 32 different venues this week. These included Clare Evans at the Vancouver suburb of Central Burnaby and Rebecca Gray and Carol & Simon Rogers who turned out at Clermont Waterfront in Florida for a second week. Two new venues were added to the Hyde Park Harriers’ list. One was Kingdom parkrun near Penshurst Place in Kent – formerly owned by Henry VIII and a filming location for Anne of a Thousand Days; Elizabeth R; The Princess Bride; Wolf Hall and The Beverly Hillbillies. The other was the inaugural parkrun at Castle Howard – a filming location for Brideshead Revisited; Barry Lyndon; Death Comes to Pemberley and Garfield – A Tail of Two Kitties.
There were four first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Mike Gallagher in 17:36 at Woodhouse Moor; Clare Slorach in 20:26 at Potternewton; Clare Evans in 23:27 at Central Burnaby and Rebecca Gray in 22:09 at Clermont Waterfront.
There were a dozen PBs. These were by Alison Hargreaves in 25:47 at Woodhouse Moor; Greg Billenness in 21:44 at Bradford; John Blatherwick in 21:00 and Bill Jones in 24:16 at Markheaton; Tom Mason in 23:17 at Roundhay; Laura Kettlewell in 26:32 at Temple Newsam; Vicky Houghton in 25:02 at Humber Bridge; Cara Sass in 23:53, Caroline Sanders 26:32 & Lizzie Coombes in 26:37 at Bramley; Sara Scholes in 32:50 at Middleton Woods; and Carol Rogers in 27:59 at Clermont Waterfront.
Karly Stringer and Greg Billenness joined to parkrun 50 club with their runs at Woodhouse Moor and Bradford respectively. Debbie Brown completed her 200th parkrun with her run at Woodhouse Moor.
Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 72.59% by Clare Slorach at Potternewton and for the men was 76.87% by Chris Smith at Woodhouse Moor.
