There were 54 HPH Women and 55 HPH Men out parkrunning across 49 different venues this week. Three new venues were added to the Hyde Park Harriers’ list. These were Örebro in Sweden by Jack Rose; Land’s End in Cornwall by Laura Foster; and Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk by Amy Ramsden-Young and Paul Ramsden. Örebro is the sixth largest city in Sweden and the parkrun course is around a lakeside nature reserve on the city outskirts. Rendlesham Forest is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is famous for a UFO sighting in December 1980. The parkrun course is along a UFO trail within the forest, so you can see for yourself if the truth is out there.
There were three first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Sarah Underwood at Irchester Country in a PB time of 23:20; Rupert Jordan at Belvoir Castle in 18:04; and Amy Ramsden Young in 20:36 at Rendlesham Forest. There were 15 more PBs. These were by Jonathan Spain with 19:01, Nick Shakhlevich with 19:49, Abdu Ahmed with 20:31, Christopher Stuart Harris with 22:08 and Abigail Prudhoe with 24:32 at Woodhouse Moor; Vicky Houghton with 24:27 at Bradford; John Pratt with 19:25 at Roundhay; Claire Booth with 26:31 at Sewerby; Steve Rhodes with 20:04, Jo Rhodes with 26:15 and Stuart Harris with 29:46 at Fountains Abbey; Peter Noren with 18:25 at Cassiobury; Beverley Miller with 29:52 at Middleton Woods; James Underwood with 25:48 at Irchester Country; and Mark Deegan with 22:05 at Brickfields in Ireland.
Nick Shakhlevich and Michelle Dickson joined the parkrun 25 club with their runs at Woodhouse Moor and Fountains Abbey respectively. Lorraine Beavis joined the parkrun 250 club with her run at Woodhouse Moor.
Top female Age Grade% was 77.29% by Jane Prust at Peel and top male Age Grade% was 79.24% by Steve Rhodes at Fountains Abbey.
