There were 110 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning across 34 different venues this week. Two new venues were added to the Hyde Park Harriers’ venue list. These were at Highwoods Country Park, Colchester by Claire Hougham and Littlehampton Prom by Graeme Miles and Naomi Kellett.
You wait months for a Hyde Park Harrier to join the parkrun 500 club then two come along one after the other. Last week it was Jaz Bangerh and this week she was joined by super parkrunner (136 different parkrun events with Stopwatch Bingo, Pirates!, Compass Club, Stayin’ Alive and Cowell Club challenges all completed) and super mum Nicola Forwood. You will be able to hear all about it on the next episode of Nicola’s and Danny Norman’s “With Me Now” parkrun podcast. Over in Bradford Daniel Smith joined the parkrun 50 club.
There were four first finishing Hyde Park Harriers this week. These were Tom Thomas in a PB time of 16:38 at Heslington; Fiona Blyth in a PB time of 22:59 at Potternewton; Aron Fulton in 20:21 at Marshall Drive and Naomi Kellett in 21:12 at Littlehampton Prom. There were six other PBs. These were by Danni Bryant in 25:20 at York; Anna Stocks in 20:30 at Roundhay; Grace Roberts in 28:50 and Gill Donaldson in 34:24 at Armley; John Hayes in 24:48 and Sam Dooley in 32:24 at Potternewton.
Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 76.26% by Clare Slorach at Victoria parkrun Glasgow and for the men was 77.56% by Tom Thomas at Heslington.
