There were 60 HPH Women and 45 HPH Men out parkrunning across 36 different venues this week. Twenty-six Hyde Park Harriers tried out a new parkrun course and amongst these two new courses wer added to the current HPH list – both in Australasia. These were Gungahlin just north of the Australian capital Canberra by Matt Kasher and Ōtaki River halfway between the New Zealand capital Wellington and Palmerston North on the North Island by Tom Elcock.
There were four first finishers. These were Amy Ramsden-Young in 20:12 at Roundhay; Larissa Brown in 24:57 at Druridge Bay; Anna Stocks in 21:34 at Bramley; and Tom Elcock in 21:26 at Ōtaki River. There were 10 PBs. These were by Honor Baldry going sub 20:00 for the first time with 19:55; Abigail Prudhoe with 23:52; Daniel Laycock with 24:22; and Karly Stringer with 25:26 at Woodhouse Moor; Ciara Crossan with 26:10 at Pontefract; Alice Young with 24:25 at Mile End; Will Jeeps with 19:26 at Dulwich; Alison Hargreaves with 25:41 at Burnley; Liam Edwards with 35:10 at Bramley; and Daniel Waas with 26:26 at Doddington Hall.
Richard Knighton joined the parkrun 50 club with his run at Woodhouse Moor where he was the highest placed Hyde Park Harrier with a time of 19:45.
Five Hyde Park Harriers made the pilgrimage down to London to run at the home of parkrun at Bushy Park. These were Sarah Underwood, Alys Griffiths, Cara Gates, Jo Rhodes and Naomi Adkins.
Top female Age Grade% was 75.56% by Honor Baldry at Woodhouse Moor and top male Age Grade% was 71.70% by Chris Jones at Walmer and Deal Seafront.
