There were 53 HPH women and 60 HPH men out parkrunning across 47 venues worldwide this week.
Twenty-nine Hyde Park Harriers travelled to try out a new course. One of these was new to the HPH list. This was Claudy Country Park in Northern Ireland by Sarah Markless. Claudy Country Park is located close to the village of Claudy, about nine miles south east of Derry/Londonderry in Northern Ireland. The park was formerly the garden of the late 18th century Cumber House – rumoured to be the most haunted house in the north of Ireland. The parkrun course is a single lap course run on tarmac paths, through the trees of the park. The meeting place for post-parkrun coffee is The Fat Fox Café which is in one of the two main reception rooms flanking the entrance hall of Cumber House.
There were two first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Sarah Markless in 25:29 at Claudy Country Park and Lucy McKerrell in 21:11 at Beckenham Place. There were four PBs. These were by Tobias Adkins with 18:59 at East Holmes Field; Christopher Barr with 26:23 at York; Edward Hale with 19:18 at Bushy; and Joe Lawley with 24:58 at Meadowhall.
Graeme Miles and Joseph Wilson joined the new parkrun 200 club with their runs at Woodhouse Moor and Potternewton respectively.
Top female Age Grade% was 72.58% by Jane Prust at Budapest Park in Canada and top male Age Grade% was 74.82% by Chris Jones at Mura di Lucca.
