There were 57 HPH Women and 43 HPH Men out parkrunning across 35 different venues this week. Salcey Forest between Northampton and Milton Keynes was added to the HPH list by Danni Bryant. Salcey Forest is managed by Forestry England and is a fragment of a former medieval royal hunting forest. Some of the veteran oaks within the forest are believed to be over 500 years old. During the Second World War, elephants from circuses were put to use to fell trees. There is a pond named The Elephant Pond where the elephants could bathe at the end of the day.
There were three first finishing HPH women. These were Anna Stocks at Roberts Park in a PB time of 19:50; Amy Ramsden-Young at Skipton in a PB time of 19:35; and Vicky Houghton at Urey Riverside in 24:03. There were 13 other PBs. These were by John Pratt with 18:59 and Jane Prust with 26:29 at Woodhouse Moor; Robert Butler with 22:55 at York; Dote Stone with 30:57 at Harcourt Hill; Frazer Carr with 18:09 at Belton House; Paul Ramsden with 25:25 at Chevin Forest; Clare Evans with 22:36, Chris Jones with 23:17, Lizzie Coombes with 27:18, Clare Maxwell with 28:17, Matilda Rhodes with 28:54 and Claire Hougham with 32:01 at Roberts Park; and Mark Deegan with 21:30 at Brickfields in Ireland.
Fleur Siswick joined the parkrun 25 club with her run at Woodhouse Moor and Tami Bond joined the parkrun 50 club with her run at South Boulder Creek, USA.
Top female Age Grade% was 75.91% by Amy Ramsden-Young at Skipton and top male Age Grade% was 77.69% by Steve Rhodes at Roberts Park.
