There were 68 HPH women and 56 HPH men out parkrunning across 47 venues this week.
Thirty-four Hyde Park Harriers travelled to try out a new course. One of these was new to the HPH list. This was Groe Park in Builth Wells, Powys by Cara Gates. Groe parkrun course is three laps on tarmac paths around The Groe. The park contains a striking stone circle, a grand war memorial, a swimming pool, a bowling green and a statue of a prize bull for Builth’s local rugby team, The Bulls. It also features four giant redwood trees, planted in 1903 just before American showman Buffalo Bill made his visit to the town; his shows, full of stories of the old American West, would attract huge crowds across Wales.
There was one first finishing Hyde Park Harrier. This was Clare Slorach in 20:55 at Roundhay.
Chloe Wilson joined the parkrun 50 club with her run at Woodhouse Moor.
Sam Dooley was the only Hyde Park Harrier that popped over to Middleton Woods to celebrate their 250th event. He ran and also did a volunteering stint.
There were eight PBs. These were by Grace Roberts with 25:07 and Helen Noyes 27:42 at Woodhouse Moor; Aisling Davis with 22:47 at Aylesbury; Alex Greenwood with 21:07 at Fell Foot; Callum Smith with 21:22 at Armley; Daniel Roberts with 20:09 at California Country; Manesha Chauhan with 30:17 at Edgbaston Reservoir; and Kate Soloman with 29:36 at Central, Plymouth.
Top female Age Grade% was 71.95% by Clare Slorach at Roundhay and top male Age Grade% was 78.85% by Ian Martinson at Hull.
