There were 53 HPH women and 52 HPH men out parkrunning across 40 venues this week. Twenty Hyde Park Harriers tried out a new course and amongst them one new venue was added to the HPH list. This was Windhoek in Namibia by Jane and Stephen Prust. It is also first parkruns in Namibia for the Hyde Park Harriers. The Windhoek course is around the luxurious golf course set on 72 hectares of natural Namibian bushveld and vegetation on the southern fringe of the capital city, Windhoek. As well as a top golf course the Windhoek Golf Country Club also offers 4 star accommodation, conference facilities and a casino.
There were four first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Rebecca Gray in 22:28 at Stamford Park; Honor Baldry in a PB time of 21:01 at Potternewton; Michael Vargas in 18:12 on his overture run at Rothay Park; and Rob Riley in 19:06 at Central Burnaby in Canada. There were twelve other PBs. These were by Jonathan Pryor with 26:27 at Woodhouse Moor; Ruth Hancox with 27:48 at Pontefract; Vicky Houghton with 23:13 at Rothwell; Tom Elcock with 22:51 at Skipton; Alexandra Natalie Smith with 27:59 at Bramley; Anna Moger with 26:29 at Heslington; Stuart Harris with 30:00 and Hilary Lund with 30:31 at Middleton Woods; Matt Wood with 21:24 at Alvaston; Caroline Young with 27:35 at Chevin Forest; and Jordan Clifford with 22:17 and Robert Butler with 24:51 at Roberts Park.
Top female Age Grade% was 71.61% by Honor Baldry at Potternewton and top male Age Grade% was 75.82% by Chris Jones at Heslington.
