With a host of big bank holiday races to attract them it wasn’t surprising that the number of parkrunning Hyde Park Harriers was down a little on previous weeks, with 77 of them out parkrunning at 20 different venues. These included Caroline Young and John Blatherwick who were over in Japan at Futakotamagawa park in Tokyo.

There were three first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Rupert Jordan who set the best Age Grade% by a Hyde Park Harrier at Woodhouse Moor in this season’s HPH parkrun Championships with his time of 17:03; Michael Vargas, also with 17:03 in his first time at Rothwell; and Amy Young in a PB time of 20:50 at Portobello. There were seven other PBs. These were by Sarah Farnell with 25:35 at Halifax; Mike Webb with 21:34, Michelle Hancocks with 30:04 and Michael Mason with 31:30 at Rothwell; Anna Moger with 29:12 at New Earswick; and Tom Mason with 22:07 and Laura Garratt with 30:03 at Armley.

Chris Bracchi joined the parkrun 100 club with his run at Newark.

Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 71.04% by Amy Young at Portobello and for the men was 77.32% by Rupert Jordan at Woodhouse Moor.
