There were 61 HPH women, 68 HPH men and 1 Undeclared HPH out parkrunning across 54 venues this week.
Thirty Hyde Park Harriers travelled to try out a new course. One of these was new to the HPH list. This was Donabate in Ireland by Chris Worfolk. Donabate parkrun is within the estate of Newbridge House in north County Dublin. The mansion was built in 1736 by Charles Cobbe, Archbishop of Dublin, and remained the property of his Cobbe descendants until 1985. It was then acquired by Dublin County Council, in a unique arrangement, under which Newbridge House would remain the family home. Set within 400 acres of partially wooded parkland, Newbridge House is one of the finest surviving examples of Georgian architecture. The demesne now forms one of Fingal’s regional parks, and contains historic buildings including the main house, a show farm and a cafe and shop. Part of the land which once made up the estate now contains Tesco Donabate Distribution Centre, the 11th largest building by floor area in the world. The parkrun course starts and finishes at the front of the house. It is run on a mixture of tarmac paths and grass.
There was one first finishing Hyde Park Harrier. This was Thomas Moulding in 18:28 at Oakwell Hall. There were fifteen PBs. These were by Coralie Bell with 19:52 and Victoria Smith with 25:01 at Woodhouse Moor; Daniel Roberts 22:25 at Bracknell; Joe Lawley with 20:38 and Sarah Jewers with 25:02 at Penrith; Will Jeeps with 19:34 at Peckham Rye; Chris Harris with 23:50 at Oakwell Hall; Megan Foster with 25:00 at Nostell; Curtis Broadhead with 19:18 at Wilmslow; Debbie Brown with 31:39 at Middleton Woods; Colin Tranter with 19:24 at Armley; Becky Webb with 28:06 at Potternewton; Mark Deegan with 23:35 at Fairview in Ireland; Lee Taylor with 25:06 at Tøyen in Norway and Maika Ohno with 28:10 at Festningen in Norway.
Top female Age Grade% was 74.50% by Coralie Bell at Woodhouse Moor and top male Age Grade% was 77.85% by Rupert Jordan at Town Moor.
There were no official new parkrun milestone club members this week, but Lizzie Coombes did complete her 300th parkrun with her run at Centre Vale.
