There were 63 HPH women and 61 HPH men out parkrunning across 41 venues this week. Twenty-four Hyde Park Harriers tried out a new course and amongst them a new venue was added to the HPH list. This was Kawana on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia by Brenda Gannon. The Kawana course is along the beach front and the description refers to stunning panoramic views, bush turkeys and water bubblers (whatever they are!) to make the run more enjoyable.
There were four first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Amy Ramsden-Young in 20:49 at Temple Newsam; Monika Pugeviciute in 25:01 at Hanworth; Peter Noren in a PB time of 18:54 at Alstervorland, Hamburg, Germany; and Sarah Underwood in 21:44 at Zuiderpark in The Hague, Netherlands. Three other Hyde Park Harrier ladies made the trip over to The Hague, these were Cara Gates who finished second in 23:18, Jo Rhodes in fifth in 28:39 and Naomi Adkins in ninth in 29:08. There were eleven other PBs. These were by Fleur Siswick with 24:17 at Wimbledon Common; Samuel Hadfield with 19:38, David Grealy with 20:02, Jonathan Pryor with 26:45 and Alice Rich with 28:10 at Woodhouse Moor; Frazer Carr with 16:40, Vincente Ponsoda with 19:13 and Clare Evans with 21:40 at York; Alexander Perkin with 22:44 and Chris Harris with 23:52 at Temple Newsam.
As well as getting a PB, Jonathan Pryor also joined the parkrun 100 club with his run at Woodhouse Moor.
Top female Age Grade% was 72.47% by Jane Prust at Cannon Hill and top male Age Grade% was 77.50% by Frazer Carr at York.
