There were 48 HPH Women and 47 HPH Men out parkrunning across 35 different venues this week. Two new venues were added to the HPH list, these were by Jane and Stephen Prust at Comber in Northern Ireland and by Vikki Hawkins at the second Omekyuryo parkrun, in the the city of Ōme in the mountains of western Tokyo in Japan. Vikki was first female finisher in a time of 37:33 (although she notes that she was the only female finisher) and the organisers had a few teething problems with the two lap out and back course having noticed the turnround point was in the wrong place halfway through the run so it was adjusted mid parkrun and some people ran a bit more than others.
There were half a dozen other first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Rupert Jordan in 17:23 at Wimbledon Common; Alasdair Fellows in 18:59 at Roundhay; Frazer Carr in a PB time of 17:45 at Buckingham; Amy Ramsden-Young in a PB time of 23:20 at Whinlatter Forest; Daniel Clayton in a PB time of 18:12 at Northwich; and Anna Stocks in a PB time of 20:38 at Middleton Woods. There were 7 other PBs. These were by Felicity Burton with 20:01 at Woodhouse Moor; Niall Flynn with 20:30 at Harrogate; Jo Rhodes with 31:02 at Whinlatter Forest; Jamie Ryan with 24:53 & Nicki Derrick with 27:05 at Frickley Country; Stuart Harris with 32:31 at Chevin Forest; and Dan Lee with 23:32 at Roberts Park.
Chris Lodge joined the parkrun 50 club with his run at Fountains Abbey.
Top female Age Grade% was 76.40% by Jane Prust at Comber and top male Age Grade% was 77.37% by Rupert Jordan at Wimbledon Common.
