There were 90 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning across 32 different venues around the parkrun world this weekend. These included three international parkruns. They were by Steve Milne on the trip to the Delaware and Rarital Canal and Tami Bond at South Boulder Creek in the US and Andrew Nicholls running at Firenze (Florence) in Italy for the fifth consecutive week.
There were three first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Rebecca Gray in 22:08 at Fletcher Moss; and Andrew Carrier in a PB time of 18:48 & Clare Slorach in 20:46 at Potternewton. It was a very good day for PBs with 17 others being recorded. These were by Danni Bryant in 26:40; Louise Gardhamin 27:05; and Poppy Forwood in 37:51 at Woodhouse Moor; Bill Jones in 23:36 at Markeaton; Sarah Underwood in 23:02; Rob Heap in 23:22; Jo Rhodes in 23:52; Vicky Houghton in 24:53; Andy Judd in 25:31; Caroline Sanders in 26:35; Lizzie Coombes in 27:05; Peter White in 28:59; and Suzie Barrett in 35:39 at Roundhay; Mark Hadrill in 20:00 at Stewart; Jane Ellis in 26:29 at Horton Park; Liz Jones in 28:40 at Heslington; and Gill Donaldson in 37:33 at Armley. This month’s venue for the HPH parkrun Championships is Roundhay, so the nine PBs obtained there this week should be competitive.
Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 72.63% by Amy Young at Clumber Park and for the men was 74.44% by Gordon Crawford at Woodhouse Moor.
There are a few Hyde Park Harriers approaching big round numbers of parkruns. Poppy Forwood is now on 99 parkruns; Clare Maxwell is on 299; Andrew Nicholls is on 399; Nicola Forwood is on 498; and Jaz Bangerh is on 499. There should be a few celebrations over the next few weeks!
