There were 64 HPH Women and 49 HPH Men out parkrunning across 35 different venues this week. There were 63 Hyde Park Harriers at Woodhouse Moor where celebrations for the 700th parkrun there took place. These included Jaz Bangerh who attended the very first parkrun at the venue back in October 2007 and has since gone on to complete 560 parkruns – 403 at Woodhouse Moor. Two new venues were added to the HPH list. These were Alice Holt in Hampshire by Lorraine Beavis and Nidda park in Frankfurt, Germany by Clare Evans doing her 249th parkrun. Alice Holt Forest is a Royal Forest just south of Farnham in Surrey. Once predominantly an ancient oak forest, it was particularly noted in the 18th and 19th centuries for the timber it supplied for the building of ships for the Royal Navy. More recently Alice Holt oak has been used to build a replica of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. While Woodhouse Moor has squirrels, rabbits and foxes, Nidda park in Frankfurt has a few more exotic species with enclosures for ponies, red deer and bison.
There were three first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. Amy Ramsden-Young chose Roberts Park for her usual top place, finishing in a PB time of 19:11. Anna Stocks chose Chadderton Hall, finishing in 21:35. Frazer Carr showed a clean pair of heels out in Italy at Milano Nord finishing in 17:37. There were 14 other PBs. These were by William Watkins with 19:25, Abdu Ahmed with 19:44, Nick Shakhlevich with 19:45, Christopher Stuart Harris with 21:51, Alys Griffiths with 23:09, Robert Butler with 23:51, Laura Foster with 25:28 and Gemma Newman with 25:50 at Woodhouse Moor; Christopher Hassall with 20:25 at Bradford; Sophie Studholme with 25:02 at Carlisle; Manesha Chauhan with 28:29 at Oaklands; and Dan Lee with 23:45, Vicky Houghton with 23:57 and Jo Rhodes with 25:14 at Roberts Park.
Robert Butler joined the parkrun 50 club and Caroline Sanders joined the parkrun 250 club with their runs at Woodhouse Moor.
Top female Age Grade% was 77.50% by Amy Ramsden-Young at Roberts Park and top male Age Grade% was 73.23% by Frazer Carr at Milano Nord.
