With some alternative local running challenges on this weekend’s calendar – including a bit of triathlon it’s not too surprising that the number of parkrunning Hyde Park Harriers was down a bit this week with just 71 of them out at 17 different venues. These included two international parkruns. Lorraine Beavis continued her tour of Italy with a parkrun at Favorita in Palermo and Clare Maxwell became the first HPH lady to parkrun in Russia when she ran around Gorky Park in Moscow. Both were the first Hyde Park Harriers to parkrun at these venues. A northern venue was also added to the Hyde Park Harriers list by Steve Milne with his parkrun at Troon.

There were two first finishers for Hyde Park Harriers. These were by Michael Vargas at Woodhouse Moor in 17:45 and by Amy Young in her first parkrun at Keswick in a time of 20:29. There were 12 PBs. These were by Jonathan Spain with 20:36; Alex Barnard with 21:15; and Matilda Rhodes with 24:01 at Woodhouse Moor; Chris Jones with 21:48; Paul Dickens with 23:10; Nicola Forwood with 23:36; Vicky Houghton with 24:45; Jane-Marie Bracchi with 24:46 and Claire Hougham with 30:03 at Rothwell; Zeni Bellwood with 24:36 at Horsham; Dan Waas with 22:30 at Jersey; and Laura Arendsen with 25:10 at Stretford.

Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 72.25% by Amy Young at Keswick and for the men was 78.72% by Andrew Nicholls at Heslington.
