The UK weather was a bit more typical for the time of year this week; being cold, wet and windy. But that didn’t deter the Hyde Park Harriers who were out in numbers again doing parkruns. Altogether there were 90 of them spread across 29 different venues. These included two international parkruns – Bushy Park in Dublin by Steve Milne and Uvongo Beach south of Durban in South Africa by Sue Smith.

One new venue was added to the Hyde Park Harriers’ list – Pocket parkrun in St Neots by Liz and Chris Jones – Chris completing his 499th parkrun so only one more to do to become the first current Hyde Park Harrier to join the parkrun 500 club.

There were three first finishing Hyde Park Harriers. These were Clare Evans at Roding Valley in 22:01; Michael Vargas at Temple Newsam in 17:53; and Amy Young in 23:07 at Flatts Lane. There were three PBs. These were by Phil Lindsay in 25:00 at Bushy Park; Alys Griffiths in 23:17 at Woodhouse Moor; and Nick Brown in 32:22 at Norwich.

Nick Payne joined the parkrun 50 club with his run at Woodhouse Moor.

Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 67.50% by Fiona Blyth and for the men was 75.15% by Gordon Crawford, both at Woodhouse Moor.
