There were 52 HPH Women and 48 HPH Men out parkrunning across 25 different venues this week. Two new venues were added to the HPH list. These were Sharpham Road Playing Fields, in Cheddar by Robyn Johnson and Roberts Park in Saltaire which was holding its second event and saw ten Hyde Park Harriers making the short trip over to the latest Yorkshire parkrun. These were Aron Fulton, Rick Pullan, Alexander Perkin, Tom Elcock, Debbie Brown, Jason Newell, Steve Brown, Liz Jones, Chris Jones and Heather Fulton.
Back at Woodhouse Moor there was a Hyde Park Harriers takeover. It was quite fitting that both the first finishng male and female were Hyde Park Harriers – Michael Vargas in 17:25 and Amy Ramsden-Young in a PB time of 19:02 respectively. There were two other first finishers that emphasised the strength in depth of the Hyde Park Harriers. These were Anna Stocks in a PB time of 20:23 at Roundhay and Clare Slorach in 21:52 at Potternewton. There were two other PBs. These were by Michelle Dickson with 28:51 at Woodhouse Moor and Jack Rose with 26:36 at New Earswick.
Roberta Blizzard joined the parkrun 50 club with her run at Woodhouse Moor.
It was also good to see Vikki Hawkins popping up in Futakotamagawa, Tokyo in Japan – despite the earthquake the previous day!
Top female Age Grade% was 78.11% by Amy Ramsden-Young and top male Age Grade% was 76.65% by Michael Vargas – the first finishers at Woodhouse Moor.
