The not yet twenty-year-old British nationality, but now Romagna as he lives in Santarcangelo di Romagna since he was 4 years old, made his debut in the 50 km run at the Iaaf Race Walking Permit in Slovakia.

Debut in the 50 km march, a specialty entered in the panorama of women’s competitions since 2017, for the young Santarcangiolese Molly Jade Davey, in the international race Iaaf Race Walking Permit in Slovakia.

After the race of 35 km run in Grosseto on 28 January, ended with the time of 3.26.29, Saturday, March 24, at the IAAF meeting in Dudince in Slovakia, Molly Jade Davey added the cherry (or cherry) ) on the cake of his already splendid career.

At 8 o’clock on a cold morning (0 degrees for the record) was presented on the starting line of 50 km, next to the Olympic and world champion Matej Toth and many other athletes and athletes of international level, and with all his skill, heart and determination completed it in 5.08.20, finishing in 7th place overall.

Its perfect race up to 40km, when the most classic of the big crises typical of endurance races, forced it to slow down and finish it with great courage, just missing the British national record.

After a few moments to recover and loosen the grip of cramps, his first words with bright eyes were “I thought worse … I had good feelings, pity for stomach pains and cramps that have bothered me in the end, but today I really feel on another planet. ”

Immense satisfaction then, for a result that ranks this year among the top 20 in the world. Ok, the specialty is relatively new it will be said, but a 50 km must first prepare it and then finish it.

Molly was born on 3 September 1998 in Edinburgh (she was the youngest of all the starters!), But she has been living since the age of 4 and trains from the age of 10 in Santarcangelo di Romagna; from the athletics company Rimini Nord Santarcangelo, in 2014 she moved to the Self Montanari Gruzza of Reggio Emilia and has already dressed several times the shirt of her national team, including the prestigious participation in the European Cup last year.
