Wuthering Heights Trail Marathon

1st HPH event of the new competition year also saw the start of the all new HPH Ultra & Marathon championship that we are trialling this year after feed back from members.

Its a 10 race series with distances ranging from 26.2 miles to approximately 81 miles with the best 4 scores counting.

The Wuthering Heights Marathon was first up in Haworth.  On the day there was race distances of 5, 10, 15, 20 miles and the marathon, with the marathon counting for points, which was 5 laps of a 5.2 mile course.

2 Harriers took on the challenge and it was the ladies showing the men how its done with Laura Hastings and Nicola Forwood scoring early points.  Laura came home 10th overall and a storming 2nd female in a time of 4 hours 41 minutes and 35 seconds. Nicola wasn’t far being in 15th and 4 female with a time of 4 hours 54 minutes and 29 seconds.

Harriers taking part in the other distances were Alex Greenwood finishing 8th and  Jo Rhodes 17th in the 20 mile race.  Meghan Bentley came 6th and 2nd female in the 10 mile race.
