A fairly low key parkrunday this week with just 72 Hyde Park Harriers out parkrunning across 28 different venues. The low numbers were probably down to lots of local parkruns being cancelled at short notice due to flooding following the torrential rain. Only one new venue was added to the Hyde Park Harriers’ list – Jesmond Dene in Newcastle-upon-Tyne by Poppy Forwood, closely followed by mum Nicola.
No first finishers this week, but at Huddersfield Rebecca Gray was 2nd female finisher and Naomi Kellett was 3rd just one second behind. Only two PBs were recorded. These were by Laura Hastings with 24:35 at Roundhay and Sam Dooley with 31:38 at Cross Flatts. Sam’s run was one of two at Cross Flatts this week – the final week of it being the October venue in the HPH parkrun Championships. The other was Lorna Middlewood. Top Age Grade% by the ladies was 68.15% by Rebecca Gray at Huddersfield and for the men was 69.26% by Andrew Nicholls at Firenze, Italia.
